KIITEE : Admission to all the courses(except MBBS,BDS,PG Medical & PG Dental) in KIIT will be only through KIITEE

Application Procedure : Application Form and Prospectus will be available online only. It will not be available in hard copy. Candidates have to apply online athttp://www.kiitee.ac.in or http://www.kiit.ac.in or they can download it from the website.
Entrance Examination : KIITEE will be a computer based online Test. Each correct answer fetches 4 marks. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Language of the Question Paper will be in English only.

For B.Tech. (4years)/ B.Tech & M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Biotechnology(5years):-
Candidates applying for B.Tech.(4years),B.Tech & M.Tech. (Dual Degree) (Biotechnology) Course should fulfill the following criteria :
For B.Tech. -LE (3 years) :- Pass in three years diploma course in Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education of any state or equivalent. Candidate should have born on or after 01.07.1994
For B.Tech in Architecture (5 years):- A pass in (10+2) examination from a recognized board or its equivalent subject to securing 60% marks in aggregate with mathematics as a subject at the higher secondary level and a pass in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi 2018. Should have born on or after 01.07.1997
For B.Sc. Nursing (4 years): Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology and English (PCBE) with at least 45% marks in aggregate. Age: Lower age should be 17 years as on 31.12.18 & upper age limit should be maximum 35 years as on 31.12.18
For B.A. LL.B/BBA LL.B/B.Sc LL.B (5 years)- 10+2 pass or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. For B.Sc. LL.B candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in the science stream with at least 45% marks Age: Not completed 21 years of age as on 01.07.18

A candidate who has passed IB Diploma from International Baccalaureate Organization, Geneva, Switzerland are eligible to take admission in all the courses where 10+2 is the eligibility qualification. Other criteria of the eligibility remain as applicable.

For MCA(3 years) :- Any Graduate with minimum 50% marks in graduation or equivalent having mathematics either in 10+2 or graduation level as one of the subject. Candidate should have born on or after 01.07.1994. 3.13
For MCA(L.E)(2 Years) :- Passed or appearing candidate with a minimum 50% marks in BCA, B.Sc. (IT/ Computer Science/IST/ITM) from any recognized University. Candidate should have born on or after 01.07.1994.
For M.Tech. (2 years):- B.E. or B.Tech. or equivalent Degree (e.g. AMIE, GRADE-IETE etc) in respective branches of Engineering and Technology with a First Class or equivalent CGPA or First Class MCA / First Class M.Sc. in (Comp/IT/ETC) GATE qualified candidates shall be accorded preference in the process of selection. GATE qualified candidates having Score 400 or above need not sit in the entrance Examination.

M.Sc. Nursing (2Years): Candidate should be a registered Nurse or Registered midwife or equivalent with any state Nursing Registration Council. The minimum education requirement shall be passing of B.Sc.Nursing/B.Sc.Hons.Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with Minimum of 55% aggregate marks.(5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates). The candidate should have undergone B.Sc.Nursing/B.Sc.Hons.Nursing/PostBasic B.Sc.Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc Nursing, Candidate should be medically fit.
For LL.M- (1Year) Candidate should have passed B.A.LLB/BBA LLB/B.Sc.LLB/B.L, degree or an equivalent degree from recognized university and must have secured at least 55% of marks in aggregate
For Master of Public Health (2Years) Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in any Health Science(MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS BNYS/BPT/BSc Nursing (Basic or Post Basic)/BPharm) discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
For Master of Hospital Administration: (2Years) Candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree in MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS BNYS/BPT/BSc Nursing (Basic or Post Basic)/BPharm/BSc in Allied Health Sciences/ Bachelor degree in Arts/Commerce/Science/Law from a recognized university with min. 50% marks in aggregate
Integrated Dual Degree Msc. &Ph.D Programme (5 years)(Applied Physics/Applied Chemistry/Mathematics and Data Sciences):B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. or an equivalent degree with at least 60% marks, Students possessing Bachelor's Degree with Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics as one of the main subjects or Engineering graduates with a strong aptitude for the above areas are eligible to apply. Students who are in the final year of graduation may also apply.
For M.A(Yoga Therapy) ( 2Years): Graduate in any discipline are eligible .

For Ph.D-Candidate having M.Tech /ME/ MCA/MBA or equivalent Degree with minimum 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA or M.Sc./MA/M.Com/ LLM or an equivalent degree with minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent.

NEET : NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG), 2018

will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

Candidates can apply for NEET (UG) “Online” only on www.cbseneet.nic.in . No offline application will be entertained. Aadhaar number is required for submission of Application Form of NEET (UG)-2018

Pattern of the Entrance Test:- The Entrance Test shall consist of one paper in all languages containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen provided by CBSE at examination centre only. The duration of test would be 03 hours. Language of the Question Papers:- Candidates can opt for Question Paper in any of the languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu & Urdu

Eligibility:

He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
The upper age limit for NEET(UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and persons entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The Age criteria for appearing in NEET (UG) - 2018 is as follows:

For Candidates of Unreserved Category (UR) - born on or between 07.05.1993 and 01.01.2002
For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PH Category - born on or between 07.05.1988 and 01.01.2002

ELIGIBILITY FOR 15% ALL INDIA QUOTA SEATS (a) Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons with Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats. (b) Candidates from State of J & K (i) Students from State of J & K are NOT ELIGIBLE for 15% all India quota seats as State of J&K has opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility, they must submit online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically along with confirmation page for the record and to present during counselling. The draft self-declaration is given in Appendix – III. (ii) The online Self Declaration of the candidates will be verified at the time of counselling and if found to be false at any time, the candidature/admission of such candidates shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them. QUALIFICATION :

A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th Standard in 2018, whose result is awaited, may apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of Counselling.
The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education. Provided that 2 year of regular and continuous study of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology taking together shall be required at 10+2 level for all the candidates. Candidates who have passed 10+2 from Open Schools or as private candidate shall not be eligible to appear for NEET (UG). Furthermore, study of Biology/Bio-technology as an additional subject at 10+2 level also shall not permissible. NOTE: where the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre - professional training before admission to the Medical Colleges.
The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject.
The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
The first year of the three years‟ degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology with English at a level not less than a core course.
B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology; Which shall include practical test in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. Provided that to be eligible for Competitive Entrance Examination, candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above or appearing in the qualifying examination in 2018

OUAT Entrance Exam - Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology Entrance Exam 2018

OUAT entrance exam is conducted by Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) to offer admission to aspirants in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Fishery Science, Home Science & Forestry at the university and its affiliated colleges. Exam for UG course admissions is usually conducted in the month of April/May each year. However, the exam for PG and PhD course admissions is conducted in July/August. Exam for UG and PG course admissions is of two hours duration. However, the test pattern for both the course levels is completely different. OUAT exam for UG admissions comprises of objective type questions of 200 marks whereas there are objective as well as subjective questions in OUAT entrance exam for PG course admissions and maximum marks aspirants can secure in it is 100 marks.

For UG course admission, OUAT entrance exam test paper would be of 200 marks. The medium of instruction in the exam would be English and duration would be two hours. OUAT entrance exam for admission in PG and PhD courses consists of objective type as well as short answer type questions. The entrance test for PG and doctoral course admissions is of two hours duration. Aspirants need to note that admission in all PG programmes is offered through OUAT entrance exam except for MSc Microbiology, MSc Biotechnology and MSc Computer Science. Admission in these programmes is conducted on the basis of career marks.

Eligibility: The minimum education qualification to pursue a BSc course at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology states that aspirants should have pursued their 10+2 with Science and secured minimum of 50% aggregate marks including extra optional. ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students, the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination. The States of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland, Odisha & some other institutions have joined JEE (Main) system, however, their admission criteria will be notified by the concerned authorities. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main)–2018 application form online. The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

Eligibility:

For admission to all the above programmes except B.Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
For admission to B.Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program.

Admissions to all the programmes are subject to the conditions given below: The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.

Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2018 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2017 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2018 test. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2016 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2018. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2018.

Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2018. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12thexamination, as mentioned above.

Direct Admission to Board Toppers: First rank students of all the central and state boards in India for the year will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT score.

BITSAT-2018 will be of total 3-hour duration (without break). The test consists of four parts:
1. Part I : Physics
2. Part II : Chemistry
3. Part III : (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning
4. Part IV : Mathematics or Biology (For B.Pharm candidates)

All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1mark). No marks are awarded for questions not attempted. While the candidate can skip a question, the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as correct answer. There will be 150 questions in all. The number of questions in each part is as follows:

There is no time limit for individual parts of the test. The candidate can go back and change any of his/her answers among the 150 questions. If a candidate answers all the 150 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 (twelve) extra questions, if there is still time left. These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology only; four questions from each part. Further, once the candidate has opted for extra questions, he/she cannot go back for correction of any of the earlier answered 150 questions. The extra questions (a maximum of 12) will give a chance to highly meritorious candidates to score higher. However, candidates should keep in mind the fact that there is negative marking for wrong answers and any attempt to answer the questions by pure guessing may result in a reduction in the total score. All the questions and instructions of the test will be in English only. Candidates should bring a pen for the purpose of rough work, signing etc. Blank sheets for rough work will be provided, if required. Calculators and logarithmic tables are not allowed in the test centers. Candidates are not allowed to bring any other personal belongings such as mobiles. When the score of two candidates are the same, first their scores obtained in Mathematics/Biology (For B.Pharm) in BITSAT-2018 will be considered for separating them. If the tie still exists, then their scores in Physics in BITSAT-2018 will be considered for separating them. Further tie is eliminated using their scores in Chemistry. Finally, their PCM/PCB (for B.Pharm) total marks in 12th examination will be considered for their separation.

The candidate can choose the centers from within India or Dubai. If a candidate chooses centers within India, he/she will be asked to give three preferences and will be allotted one out of these three. If a candidate chooses Dubai as a center, he/she will not be asked for any other center preference and will be allotted Dubai center only.

While BITSAT-2018 tests are scheduled to be held in the month of May every year. The exam will be conducted in two slots. The first slot will be from 9.00am till 12.00noon and the second slot will be from 2.00pm till 5.00pm. A candidate can choose anyone out of these two slots based on the availability.

Degrees at NISER will be awarded by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed-to-be University within the Department of Atomic Energy.

About NEST

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a 3 hr computer based test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007. Their mandate is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and for providing input to scientific programmes of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country. NEST 2018 will be conducted in around 106 cities across India.

Integrated MSc program at NISER, Bhubaneswar & UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai:

Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS are autonomous institutions established by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, in 2007. NISER is an off-campus centre of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) and all academic programmes of NISER are affiliated to HBNI. These institutes were started with the mandate to provide high quality teaching in basic sciences by a faculty of distinguished scientists embedded in a vibrant research environment, and to create a national pool of scientists ready to take up research challenges in the frontiers of basic and applied sciences. The Integrated MSc programme at these institutes follows a semester–based course structure and continuous assessment within a flexible and innovative academic curriculum, exposing the students to research early in the programme. The placements of the graduated students from NISER and CEBS provide testimony of success to this initiative

Students admitted to the programme are eligible to receive annual scholarship of Rs.60,000 either through the INSPIRE program of Department of Science and Technology or the DISHA program of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. In addition, the scholarship recipients receive grant of Rs.20,000 per annum for summer internship. Alumni of the programme are presently pursuing PhD at the top universities and institutes in India & abroad.

Eligibility criteria for admission to the programme:

Educational qualification: Candidates seeking admission to NISER and UM–DAE CEBS for the integrated MSc programme 2018–23 should be from regular science stream only and preferably should have any combination of at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics in classes XI and XII. It is mandatory for all aspiring candidates to write the NEST 2018 examination. Admission will be offered strictly on the basis of Merit List of NEST 2018. Additionally, candidates must have passed class XII examination or equivalent from any recognized Board in India in the years 2016 or 2017 or be appearing for the same in 2018. Candidates who are appearing for the board examination in 2018 must pass it by the time of admission into the program. Also, candidates must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in class XII examination to be eligible for admission to NISER and CEBS. For candidates belonging to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the minimum requirement of marks is relaxed to 55% in aggregate. Where only letter grades are available, a certificate from the concerned Board specifying equivalent percentage of marks is required to be submitted. In absence of such a certificate, the decision of the admissions committee of the concerned institution will be final.

Age limit:

General and OBC category candidates born on or after August 01, 1998 are eligible for admission to the integrated M.Sc programme of NISER/CEBS. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST / PwD candidates.

Eligibility criteria summary:

A candidate becomes eligible for the programme when he/she satisfies following all four criteria:

(a) Secures a position in the NEST merit list.
(b) Pass the XII standard board examination or equivalent in the science stream in the years 2016 or 2017 or 2018 from any recognized Higher Secondary Education Board in India.
(c) Secures at least 60% in aggregate in the XII standard board examination. For SC/ST/PwD students the requirement is 55%.
(d) Born on or after August 01, 1998. For SC/ST/PwD students the limit is relaxed by five years.

Reservation of seats:

For the Integrated M.Sc programme 2018–23, total number of seats at NISER and CEBS are 200+2(JK) and 45+2(JK), respectively. Indian nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules of the Government of India. The categories and the extent of reservation are as follows:

a) Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non–Creamy Layer (OBC–NCL):  27% of seats are reserved for OBC–NCL.

Candidates belonging to the creamy layer of OBC are NOT entitled for reservation. Such candidates are treated as belonging to the General category. The Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) as notified by some of the State Governments are as such NOT eligible to avail any reservation unless they satisfy the OBC–NCL criteria.

b) Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST): 15% seats are reserved for SC and 7.5% seats for are reserved for ST categories.

c) Person with Disabilities (PwD): 3% of seats are reserved in every category, i.e., General, OBC– NCL, SC and ST for persons with disabilities. Benefit would be given to those who have at least 40% impairment irrespective of the type of disability i.e., locomotor, visual or dyslexic. Leprosy–cured candidates who are otherwise fit to pursue the course are also included in this sub–category. Candidates are advised to ensure that the certificate is in accordance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India (visit the web site of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Disability Affairs for latest information). The reservation for PwD candidates is horizontal and hence, unfilled seats will be allotted to candidates belonging to the respective categories i.e., unfilled SC (PwD) seats will be allotted to candidates belonging to the SC category and so on. d) Supernumerary Quota for students from Jammu and Kashmir (JK): Two seats in both the institutions are reserved for candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir. These two seats are supernumerary over the 200 and 45 seats, respectively, at NISER and CEBS.

Question type: The question paper will consist of 5 (five) sections of objective (MCQ) type questions. Section 1 is the general section and is of 30 marks. There will be no negative marking in the general section. Sections 2 through 5 are of 50 marks each and will contain subject specific questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Candidates are permitted to attempt as many subject sections as they wish. However, only the best three subject scores along with the score in the general section will be counted for evaluation and merit list preparation. The questions are designed to test candidates' subject comprehension and analytic ability. In the subject sections, for certain questions there will be negative marking for incorrect answers. Some questions may have one or more correct answers for which marks can only be earned by marking all correct answers and no wrong answer.

Syllabus: The syllabus for NEST 2018 primarily follows the NCERT/ CBSE science syllabus of class XI–XII.

How to apply: To apply for NEST 2018, candidates must fill–up the online application form through www.nestexam.in on or after January 01, 2018. Application can be submitted only through NEST 2018 website. There is no other mode of application submission

Application Fee: The application fee for the male candidates of General and OBC categories is Rs.1,000. The application fee for candidates in the SC/ST/PwD categories and for all female candidates is Rs.500. Payments can be made using credit card/debit card/net–banking through online payment gateway.

VITEEE Eligibility 2019

Nationality- Candidate should be a Resident of India. NRIs can also apply. PIO/OCI candidates who have studied in schools located in India in the preceding two years are also eligible to apply.

Age Requirement- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1997 are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2019. Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years as on 1st July of the admission year.

Educational Qualification- Candidates who have either completed any of the following qualifying exams or shall be appearing in 2019 are eligible to apply.

The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi)

Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board / University.

High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

General Certificate Education (G C E) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

NIOS candidates are also eligible to apply.

Pass percentage in class 12 or equivalent exam.

Candidates should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) while there is a relaxation of 10% for candidates belonging to SC, ST, J&K, North Eastern states. Candidates belonging to these categories should produce the documents at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

VITEEE Application Form 2019

Candidates can apply online at the official site of VITEEE by paying Rs 1150. NRI Candidates can pay a demand draft of 50 USD by sending it along with the hard copy of application form to the Vellore Institute of Technology. Candidates can avail the offline application form by paying Rs 1200 in cash from the specified post offices. Application form of VITEEE 2019 will also be available in the Vellore Institute of Technology campuses in exchange of a demand draft of Rs 1200 drawn in favour of the Vellore Institute of Technology and payable at the respective campus.

VITEEE Exam Pattern 2019

Going through the VITEEE Exam pattern students can get familiar with the types of questions asked in the exam. VITEEE is an online exam of duration 2 hours and 30 minutes. The paper will be divided into four parts of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology comprising multiple choice questions. Each part will have 40 questions while, English section will have only 5 questions with each question carrying 1 mark. Each question will have four options with one correct answer. National Standard Examination in Junior Science( NSEJS)

The National Standard Examination in Junior Science or NSEJS is an examination in physics for higher secondary school students, usually conducted in the end of November. Organized by the Indian Association of Physics Teacher in association with Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), NSEJS is considered toughest Science exam on higher secondary level globally. The NSEJS is carried out every year in English, Hindi & a few other Indian languages. As a gateway to the 2 nd stage of International Jr Science Olympiad, this exam will lead the students to become part of the internationally recognized competition.

Eligibility
Only Indian citizens born on or after January 1, 2004 and are students studying in Class X or lower as of November 30, 2018, can apply and appear for NSEJS 2018 − 2019.

Format
The exam comprises multiple choice questions only and composed of 80 questions emphasizing the comprehension of Science subject considering Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Mathematics. Fee
The fee for the NSEJS is Rs.100 ($15 for overseas candidates). Application for this examination is typically handled through the school/college to which the student is affiliated.

Cutoff
To be eligible to get to the next level, i.e. the second stage, it is necessary that a student scores at- least a Minimum Admissible Score (MAS) which is 50% of the maximum score. Proportional Representation Clause
The maximum number of students that can get to Stage II (InJSO) in each subject is around 300. These many students are not selected only on the merit basis but also on proportionate basis. This proportion is decided on the base of the number of candidates who appeared for NSE in the previous year from that center in each State or Union Territory (UT). In case there is a tie at the last position, then all the students competing for the last position will be eligible to move to stage II. However it’s necessary that the selected students fulfill the eligibility clause laid out above.

Merit Clause
As stated above, approximately 300 students are to be selected for second stage. If this does not happen according to MAS, then after selection as per merit, the shortfall from 300 students will be selected based purely on merit without further consideration to proportional representation and minimum representation clauses. In the event of a tie at the last position in the list all students with the same marks at this position will qualify to appear for the Stage II examination.
